This apple rosemary frozen yogurt is a refreshing addition to your hot summer day. It has a sweet and tangy taste, and the fruits add great flavor and texture to it. I used the Cuisinart ice cream maker which I got from Ebay in the US for around $50. It’s a neat price for a useful product but the only thing I used to dislike about it is you have to pre-freeze the base. It usually took hours (probably 24 lol) for it to be frozen but what I do now is I just keep it inside the freezer until the next use. That way, I can use it immediately if I spontaneously want to make ice cream. So make sure that the base is frozen enough for the ice cream/frozen yogurt to form!
1 cup Greek yogurt
500 ml apple juice unsweetened
2 fresh rosemary sprigs
100 g sugar
10 pieces diced grapes
2 diced kiwi
1. Put the apple juice, sugar and rosemary in a saucepan and let it simmer for around 5 minutes. Make sure the sugar is dissolved.
2. Remove off the fire and let it cool.
3. Remove the rosemary sprig and mix the cooled liquid together with the Greek yogurt and the diced fruits.
4. Churn in an ice cream mixer.
*You can omit the sugar if you don’t want it for your baby 🙂
