Banana, PB & Yogurt

Banana, peanut butter and yogurt – these are the only things you’ll need to make this ice cream recipe. Yes, you read that right. 3 INGREDIENTS ONLY. This is sugar-free and you don’t need to cook the ice cream mixture. This is very easy to make, it’s healthy and a great substitute to regular ice cream if baby wants some. Read along so you can follow on the recipe.

3 large ripe bananas
1 cup Greek yogurt
2 tbsp peanut butter or any nut butter

1. Mash the bananas really well and make sure it’s a bit runny. It would be even better if you use really ripe ones cause they are sweeter and easier to mash.
2. Mix the Greek yogurt with the banana
3. Add in the peanut butter and mix well. You can choose to put in other kinds of nut butters like almond or cashew. I’m sure they’ll taste great with this recipe too.
4. Churn in an ice cream maker for 20-30 minutes.

The mixture can turn out very thick, but that’s okay. If it hasn’t formed in your ice cream maker yet, you can continue to churn it for another 10 minutes. If you don’t have an ice cream maker, you can use the freeze-stir-refreeze method. You place the mixture in the freezer and stir every 30 minutes with a whisk or handheld mixer. It would take you a longer time but it can make your ice cream. You can then transfer it to a secure container and put in the freezer for keeping. This ice cream has a very creamy and rich texture but healthy at the same time. A great alternative to your regular, sweet, store-bought ice cream.
